renamed Your Love Is Dangerous (Jeanne's Song)

The story of this song
Jeanne was a big supporter of me while I was trying to write songs. I met her at tennis in about 2010 and we were friends, she talked to me a lot and helped me a lot when I was lonely in California when I lived there a couple of years. She gave me a lot of gifts: friendship, mentorship, support, encouragement, wisdom, company, but the day before her big C surgery she gave me this big gift: a poem she wrote. I worked on it for just about two years to make it into a song and release it as my first ever released song. Thanks jdogg.

Hand-written lyrics to the song Your Love is Dangerous, in Jeanne's handwriting

Although Jeanne's lyrics were serious and heartfelt, she had an amazing sense of humor, and a great perspective on life. She told me after her aorta shredded (I always said her heart exploded), that she treated every day after that as a gift, since it was a miracle she survived that. Although she had health problems follow her around, she really was grateful for every day and for getting to know her grandkids and spend time with them. I love looking through our texts and thinking about the time we spent together. The day after she passed away I went back to her poem to work on the song again, and a note fell out of her papers I had missed. It thanked me for being a good friend and said we'd hang out as soon as she got better. I miss you a lot Jeanne.
